Editorial Policy

This policy explains how Daily Chronicle Post decides what to publish, which sources we rely on, how we keep advertising separate from editorial work, and what we do when we get something wrong. It applies to every editorial article on the site.
Our standards
- Accuracy. Every health statement and every number must trace back to a source we can link to.
- Clarity. We write in plain language and say what the evidence can and cannot tell us.
- Independence. Advertisers and sponsors do not shape our coverage.
- Transparency. We show our sources, label advertising, and publish our corrections.
How we choose and use sources
Every health statement and every number in our articles links to a source. We open each link before we publish to confirm that it works and that the page says what we say it does.
We rely first on these kinds of sources:
- Federal health agencies and research institutes, such as the National Institutes of Health, the CDC, and MedlinePlus.
- Major medical and professional organizations, such as the American Heart Association.
- Academic medical centers and nonprofit health systems, such as Mayo Clinic.
- U.S. government dietary guidance, such as MyPlate.
- Peer-reviewed studies, which we find through PubMed.
We do not use product pages, supplement sellers, social media posts, anonymous forums, or unlinked claims from other publishers as evidence for a health statement. We prefer current guidance, and we show the date on every article.
We match our wording to the strength of the evidence. We use phrases such as "may help support," "is associated with," and "research suggests." We do not promise results, claim guaranteed outcomes, or present an everyday habit as a replacement for medical care.
We write our own text. We do not copy articles from other publishers.
What we cover
We write about everyday habits and general wellness. Our editorial articles do not name or recommend branded products, supplements, or services, and they do not contain offers or calls to buy anything.
Editorial content and paid content are separate
Our editorial team decides what to publish. Advertisers, advertising partners, and sponsors do not choose our topics, read our drafts before publication, or change our conclusions. We do not accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage.
We label all advertising. Ads from third parties appear under the label "Advertisements" or "Sponsored Links." A sponsored page is an advertisement, not an article from our editorial team. It carries a "Paid Advertisement" band at the top, names the advertiser, and repeats the disclosure next to its call to action. Sponsored pages are not part of our editorial sections. Our Advertising Disclosure has the full details.
Use of AI tools
We may use AI-based tools to help with outlines, early drafts, and copyediting. We use them as writing aids, not as sources. A human editor edits every article before it is published, and our editorial team is responsible for what appears on the site.
We do not use AI tools to invent quotes, people, credentials, reviews, or customer stories. We do not use AI-generated author photos, and we do not use AI-generated images that pretend to show real people or real events.
Corrections policy
We want to know when we are wrong. To report an error, email [email protected] or use the form on our Contact page. Please include the article address, the sentence you believe is wrong, why you think so, and a link to a source if you have one.
- We acknowledge every report within 2 business days.
- We check the statement against our sources and send you our decision within 7 business days. If we need more time, we will tell you why and give you a new date.
- If the report is right, we fix the article, add a dated correction note to it that says what changed, and add an entry to our public Corrections page.
- If we disagree, we explain why and link to the sources we relied on.
We fix typos and formatting problems without a note. We do not delete articles to hide mistakes. In the rare case that we remove an article we can no longer stand behind, we will say so on the Corrections page.
Image policy
We use real photographs from licensed or free-to-use stock photo libraries whose licenses allow commercial use. We keep a record of the license source for each image. When a license or a photographer asks for credit, we credit the photographer in the image caption.
We choose images that match the article. We do not use before-and-after images, close-ups of body parts, images of needles or blood, photographs of celebrities, or images with text, circles, or arrows added to them. Photographs are illustrative: unless a caption says otherwise, the people shown are models or stock subjects, not our authors, sources, or readers, and their presence does not mean that they endorse anything on this site.
Credentials and named authors
We do not attach professional titles or credentials to our editorial team. If an article is ever published under a named author, we will first publish that person's verifiable background on our Authors page.
Medical disclaimer
This article is for informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice. Talk to a licensed healthcare professional before changing your diet, exercise or medication.
All content on Daily Chronicle Post, including text, images, captions, and links, is provided for general information and education. It is not medical advice, and it is not a substitute for professional diagnosis or care. We do not know your health history, and what is right for one person may not be right for another.
Do not ignore or delay professional medical advice because of something you read here. Do not stop, start, or change a prescribed medicine or medical plan without first talking to your healthcare professional. This matters most if you are pregnant, have a health condition, or take prescription medicine.
If you think you may be having a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
Health guidance changes as new research appears. We date every article and link to our sources so that you can look up the latest information. We cannot promise that an article is complete, current, or free of errors. Naming an organization, study, or source does not mean that it has endorsed or approved our article.
Advertisements and sponsored pages are paid placements. A product or service shown in an advertisement is not an endorsement by our editorial team, and statements in an advertisement are the advertiser's own.
